Training with Benedikt Líndal – Video from 2006

In this video, Benedikt Líndal opens the doors to his training center, allowing viewers to follow the training of several horses over the course of a training season. Picking up where his previous video on initial training left off, he demonstrates various effective methods used in advanced training.

Topics include the importance of varied training techniques, gait training, creating a positive atmosphere to maintain enthusiasm and improve results, the proper use of curb bits, and more.

By building mutual trust and respect—and employing methods the horse understands and accepts—a foundation is laid to bring out the best in every individual horse, whether a family horse or a competition horse. The goal of the training is to produce a horse that is well-trained, supple and soft, light in the bridle, responsive, physically strong, and secure in its gaits.
